Temperature

Not surprisingly, temperatures increase as we get closer to the equator. In the northern hemisphere, as latitude increases, temperature decreases. The correlation coefficient -0.833464; therefore, there is a strong negative correlation between latitude and temperature for the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere, as latitude increases, temperature increases. The correlation coefficient is 0.697424; therefore, there is a moderate positive correlation between latitude and temperature for the southern hemisphere.
